Mammoth Site
This is probably one of the coolest things i have ever seen. So this building is built over this sink hole where they have found 61 mammoths bones. They have only been digging for bones in this hole for a little over 40 years. They only search for bones in July because they find enough bones and artifacts in July to keep them busy cataloging them throughout the year. They also don't move the bones unless they are falling apart. And guess what? They have only found males in this hole because in the animal world when male adolescents start acting up they get kicked out of the herd/pack. I like that kind of thinking :)
Mount Rushmore
This is one beautiful place. They have a very moving lighting ceremony each evening, if you ever go make sure you see it.
Yellowstone!!
The Roosevelt Arch. The entrance way to Yellowstone in Montana, just a few miles over the border from where we were staying in mammoth hot springs, Wyoming.
Old Faithful!!
The Grand Prismatic Spring. Just beautiful.
The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. We walked down and stood at the top of lower falls.
Owen was so excited to go fishing, we took him on a fishing charter on Yellowstone lake.
Tetons
The Tetons. But more important than that, the second tallest mountain here is called Mt. Owen. :)
There was a lot of smoke that was making a haze over the mountain range.
Craters of the Moon
This is one cool place. These rocks and hill we are standing on are all lava rocks. We got to climb down into a cave that was where the lava once flowed.

Extra Photos
Our only fire so far. There has been a fire ban throughout the country and the first time we could have one or even wanted one due to the high temps was in Bodega Bay.
And of course we had a nail in the KZ tire. Thank God my Mechanic was still with us for this.
Trying out Selfies with our new camera.
See the Ferns in the background? Some were 4 feet tall!
Have to have these shots!!
This guy was massive in the boondocking spot at Grand Canyon!!
It actually reached 120. Never going to Utah in the summer again. Zion would be the only reason I would go back. I am not a desert rat and can not live like one. The people who live here love it, they come out early in the morning then go into hiding until about 8pm. Then suddenly it gets loud with kids running everywhere and adults doing there thing. Not for me.
The boys swimming in the Pacific Ocean, only Owen would turn for the photo.
Selfie with momma :)
